ABS Reservation policy letter

Association of Bragg Spouses (ABS) Reservation Policy Letter 2012-2013

Making a Reservation:

All ABS members will receive an Evite for each function approximately two weeks prior to the event. ABS members will receive an email requesting that they view the Evite invitation online. To ensure a reservation, you must respond “YES” to the Evite invitation and indicate your menu choice for the event. Your Evite response must be received no later than 12:00 noon, seven days prior to the event. Responses made after the 7-day deadline will be placed on a waiting list and are not guaranteed a reservation to the event. On the day of the event, payment can be made by cash, check, or credit card.  Note: If your check is returned, you will be responsible for all fees.

Cancellation of a Reservation:

To cancel a reservation, you must change your Evite response to “NO” by 12:00 noon, seven days prior to the event.  Cancellations made through Evite after the 7-day deadline will not be honored. ABOS is obligated to pay for all reserved meals, regardless of attendance to the event. Therefore, if you do not cancel your reservation or cancel after the 7-day deadline, and you do not attend the event, you will be contacted by email or regular mail to arrange for payment of your meal.  In the event of an emergency that occurs after the cancellation deadline causing you to miss the event, please contact the Reservation Chairperson directly (listed below). The Chairperson will make an effort to fill your reservation from the waiting list; however, this is not guaranteed.   Note: If you are billed for nonattendance, the past-due amount MUST BE PAID before your reservation for future events can be accepted.

Walk-Ins:

Walk-ins will be allowed only if seats become available due to cancellations, only after the waiting list has been depleted.

Guests:

ABS members may bring guests to ABS programs. To hold a guest’s reservation(s), you must indicate on your Evite response the number of guests you will bring and their name and menu choice, if applicable. If your guest does not attend the event and you do not cancel their reservation by the 7-day deadline, you will be held responsible for the cost of their meal(s).  A guest who is eligible to become an ABS member may only attend one ABS program.  In order to attend additional events, the guest must become a member.  Non-eligible guests may attend all ABS programs as guests of a member.

Childcare:

Childcare is the responsibility of the member.  Hourly care is available at STACC located at Soldier Support Center or at Rodriguez CDC. Children must be registered with CYS in order to use these locations.
